Cracking the DI section requires a good calculation speed and presence of mind and most importantly analytical skills. All the three things mixed in proper ratio can easily give desired outcome.

As far as analytical skills are concerned you have to consciously develop these over a period of time through constant practice and by solving different varieties of questions. So we won’t discuss this right now.

A higher calculation speed would mean that you can utilize the extra time available to you for understanding questions (which is necessary for any question). So I suggest you to

    • Spend as much time as you can in learning squares, cubes and percentage equivalent of fractions etc.
    • Try to develop skills on the various other techniques like approximations etc., which can at times help you eliminate the options and get the correct answer faster.

    • Learning different types of graphs is always suggested. You can pickup any business daily or any business magazine where you can find graphs. This may seem useless or too easy to practice but believe me your time isn’t going waste.

    • One of the effective ways of learning DI is framing your own questions. By doing so, you are putting yourself in the examiner’s shoes and this will definitely open up your mind to new ideas.

    • Practice a lot of LR questions, especially of the Data Arrangement variety that tend to consume a lot of time. Develop an approach that will take you to the correct solution in the least possible time.

Keep your eyes open and your brain present.

Hope info will be helpful for you. All the very best to you for test.

    Regards

What is the sort of preparation one must do to achieve maximum accuracy in DI section of online tests? Somehow, though I am quite good in the analysis with DI on paper, online tests just dont give me results! I am worried about clearing the cut-off for this section. How can I keep up a similar performance in online DI?. Please reply as early as possible…...
