maybe actually dere are some 25 points assigned to ur pre-academic record but it depends on the institute how much weightage it has towards this score…...

but sir, it still doesn’t solve my problem-my overall acaedmic avg is 67, but in my+2, i only managed 2 get 59-does this makes me stand on a fairly shallow ground?

    Dear viditrishu,

They don’t consider the overall academic (i think you mean the avg of your 10+2+4 by this) avg. Instead your 10th, +2 and +4 percentages are considered separately. Also since your total avg is only 67 which is definitely below the avg percentage of IIMs graduates definitely you should come out with a good performance in CAT.

Also, 59% in your +2 is not a big crime but at the same time this really downplays your chances if you don’t perform well in CAT. Since these things cannot be altered now all you have to do is come out with some exceptional performance in CAT.

I don’t say that your academic performance placed you on a fairly shallow ground but definitely it is asking you to perform well in the CAT.

@ Sureshbala I too have a below average academic records, completed my grads in 2008. My academic scores were 86.6 % in Xth, 72.4 % in XIIth and 60 % in grads. I am grad in B.Sc.(H) Physics. Can I get some good B-School if I score well in CAT.
