HI I gave cat in 2007 and scored 96 percentile. I want to give cat this year but havent started preparing anything yet. I need help as to from where I should study for all the 3 sections. Kindly suggest. (I have been out of touch with cat since 2007)

My quant and DI were strong back then in 2007 but english has always been a headache. Please advise books or material or anything where i can start studying. I dont want to waste any more time now.

Sup Poojan! well, if u had scored 96th %ile then i think the only thing u have to do now is t brush up with ur fundamentals.. and try solving questions from all the resources, learnhub being the biggest bank..

Also, u should have started preparing for Verbal section earlier, cuz now, no matter how many words can u mug up, it requires practice to crack vocab as well as RC based questions.. try solving maximum RC passages, which is the only way u can improve ur reading comp skills… u can download them from the internet.. Baki sab Changa hai…

Like u, I m gonna appear for CAT 09, but for the first time this year..

    Best of luck..

    Here are few suggestions:

Pick up the Wren And Martin’s High School English Grammar and Composition (often used in junior classes) . Go through the chapters on nouns, verbs, adverbs and adjectives.

Get a pocket size dictionary. Read complete meanings, usage and sentences. Use mnemonics; this means you create a mental image of the word.

Its advisable you practice as many test papers as you can after your preparation.

Here are some of the good books you can refer:

    Data Interpretation (DI) Handbook

    Handbook of English Grammar

    Verbal Ability Exercise Book
