Hi gauri, u can go thru’ various lesson pages available on the communities – CAT prep, CAT quant & Intelligence. After going thru the relevant stuff posted on these sites, u will get a fair idea and confidence to appear for the CAT.

Hi gauri, first step of the preparation is to write a old CAT PAPER. so that u can estimate the level of the paper and it will be useful in the choosing the best way of preparation. Go through the lessons topic wise , write the tests after listening the lessons. U can get many lessons from CAT prep,CAT quant communities.

    Dear bluffmaster,

In order to get the very basics of the Number Theory concepts I encourage you to go through the 8th, 9th and 10th math textbooks. After this go through the book How to prepare for CAT Quant by Arun Sharma. This book will definitely help you to learn advanced concepts of number theory that one needs to be comfortable with in order to crack CAT.

    Dear poovi youshuva,

Nice to see that you are planning three years in advance to crack CAT. Please go through the post above made by me for a long term CAT preparation plan. Do not think of joining any coaching classes right now. Instead try to have a self-preparation. Also get into regular reading. I mean you must read non-fiction and this will help you to improve your RC skills and grammar ability there by enabling you to face Verbal section of the exam quite comfortably.

    All the best

I am poor in English(Verbal)(and good at Quant and DI).

Which Book do I need to follow to improve my basic Grammer skills?

How to improve my volcabulary skills? How to improve reading RC skills?

Thanks inAdvance for your valuable suggestions

    hi rahulreddy,

first of all, take last years cat test to identify your weakness – you can take the test online on LearnHub!

after that, i would suggest building speed and accuracy and taking as many tests as possible for your exam fitness!

    all the best!

    poovi yoshuva,

by non fiction, you can also read stuff on popular science (books by stephen hawking, etc), books with a journalistic/historic bent and also books on serious topics like protecting the environment, economics, etc.

just message me if you want a reading list on a particular topic.

    hope this helps!
