Sentence 1 is followed by 5 sentences labeled A, B, C, D and E. Choose the one that forms a coherent paragraph with sentence 1 as the starting sentence.

1. Options, some investors groan, are available only for a handful of bluechips.
A. Such options serve as proxies that make good losses incurred on a well-diversified portfolio, the ups and downs of which are likely to mirror the index.
B. And even with a bluechip portfolio, buying assorted options for individual scrips is rather too expensive.
C. The solution for such investors is the index option, which offers a call or put on a composite bunch of stocks representing the entire index.
D. So actual availability of options is not much of an issue.
E. This works especially well for a diversified portfolio of stocks with 'beta' values close to 1.

So,folks here are the correct answers

Para Jumbles
The correct answer is 4.

1B are logically in sequence (Options, some investors groan, are available only for a handful of bluechips. And even with a bluechip portfolio, buying assorted options for individual scrips is rather too expensive.) AE are in sequence


Quantitative Ability
The correct answer is 1.

Let X, Y and Z be the cost of each bat, ball and cap respectively. Then we have
2X + 3Y + 4Z = 46… (1)
3X + Y + 6Z = 62 … (2)
Here, we notice that the coefficients of X and Z in (1) are in the ratio 1:2 which is same as their ratio in equation (2).
As the ratio of these coefficients are same, we can find the value of variable y.
If we multiply (1) by (3) and (2) by 2 and subtract one from the other so as to eliminate the variable X, we find the variable Z is also eliminated, at the same time leaving us only with Y = 2
Hence the cost of a ball is Rs.2.
