IIMs are the premier B-Schools of the country, this year
IIMs have declared their admission criteria for 2012-14 in advance.
Earlier IIMs used to announce the admission criteria once they
declared the CAT results. But from this year onwards IIMs have
started declaring their admission criteria in advance and aspirants
are happy with this new practice.
It is really important for any MBA
aspirant to understand the eligibility criteria for admissions.
This is the only way through which you will be able to know more
about the GD-PI short listing criteria, the weightage that will be
given to PI, WAT etc.
IIM Rohtak will enroll around 120 to
130 students in the 2012-2014 batch. The admission will be done on
the basis of the CAT scores, Personal
Appearance process which includes Personal Interview and Written
Analysis process. The final selection will be done on the basis of
total CAT score, PA score and profile
score including work experience and Past Academic Performances.
The primary shortlist for the PI, WAT
(Personal Assessment) round will be prepared through 2 stage
process:
Stage 1: Candidates will be selected on the
basis of their CAT percentile. To be
eligible for getting selected the overall and sectional cuts off
scores for CAT 2011 is as follows:

For each of the eligible candidates, the following (weighted)
scores will be computed (scale of 100). The computation will take

To increase the enrollment of female candidates in the institute
the female candidates will be give a grace score of 20 marks. To
encourage students from diverse background, candidates having a
non-engineering background at graduation will be assigned a grace
score of 20.

Grand Total Score (For PA call)-The above scores will be
computed to make a Grand Total Score and top specified number will
be called for PA process.
Final Selection List:
The final selection list will be prepared on the basis of an
overall performance, a weight of 50 per cent will be assigned to
CAT total score, scaled to 100. Personal
Interview & Written Analysis will have weight of 30. Work
experience or Past Academic Performance will be given weight of
20.
