Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) can never forget 2003, the year in which CAT paper was leaked. To ensure that this would never repeat, the IIMs, which conduct the CAT exam, spend a few months to ensure that the CAT test paper is not leaked. Now, the IIMs have adopted a new strategy, by employing technology and roping in Prometric for conducting CAT 2009.
In order to help IIMs manage over 2 lakh CAT exam applicants Prometric has introduced a security mechanism, which will not allow any sort of security breaches. They will start capturing biometric information for ensuring that no fraudulent motives like writing CAT exam twice, or using a proxy candidate for the online CAT test is used. These moves should make the CAT exam more immune to security breach.
